Details of Achievements

ANJIKA Centre for Manipuri Dance & Movement Therapy was established in 1995 under the guidance of MK Binodini Devi and Pandit N. Khelchandra Singh.
It provides a complete education in the Manipuri dance form-one of the eastern India’s two great classical dance forms. It includes skill and the technique, the tradition and the responsibility and finally the sadhana and the fulfillment it brings. Through Anjika, Priti Patel is making a lifetime commitment to pass on to the new generations of dancers the comprehensive regine and techniques of training developed by the great Gurus’ viz. Lt.Guru Bipin Singh and Lt.Ojha Th. Babu Singh, as well as the cull wisdom of acknowledged masters such as the Lt. Ojha Khetritombi Devi, Lt.Ojha Kelchandra Singh, Lt. Ojha Surchand Sharma and Lt. Ojha Kumar Maibi. As a professional Danseuse, Miss Patel is probably exceptional in the comprehensiveness of her approach; she has undergone training even in stage lighting; from the renowned designer Lt.Shri.
